Conduent Staff IT Auditor - Third Party Assurance

Job Summary

The position is responsible for assisting senior auditors and audit managers in planning, preparing for, and reviewing company compliance with HITRUST Common Security Framework. Duties will also consist of providing consulting services to Conduent businesses and assisting in performing readiness assessments of HITRUST for various company operations. This position will also be responsible for independently assisting audit management in performing IT operational and technical assessments as needed.

Job Responsibilities

+ Assists in the planning, preparation, and reviewing of company compliance with HITRUST reporting audit standards

+ Perform initial assessments of certain company operations in preparation for HITRUST engagements with minimal guidance and direction from audit management.

+ Exercise professional judgment to determine materiality of findings and the adequacy of IT and business operations for effectiveness and efficiency.

+ Recommend corrective action to improve operations.

+ Assist company operations in preparing for initial and on-going HITRUST engagements, including identifying risks, controls and monitoring activities.

+ Ability to simultaneously manage/coordinate multiple HITRUST engagements with business and external audit firms.

+ Assist in tracking external audit fees and expenses to ensure compliance with expectations.

+ Maintain a working knowledge of general IT control processes primarily in the network and client-server environments.

+ Become familiar with operational and business process control environments.

+ Obtain and analyze data and results to provide an objective, informed opinion on the achievement of audit objectives in various company operations.

+ Assist in providing training on HITRUST and other Third Party Assurance topics to company operations.

+ Communicate assessment results and prepare formal written audit reports in accordance with department guidelines and discuss findings with affected management. Participate in and/or lead exit conferences.

+ Perform post-audit reviews to determine compliance with audit recommendations.

+ Perform special projects as assigned by management.

+ Maintain knowledge of current technology and IT auditing practices through continuing professional education.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills/Knowledge

+ 2 years' audit experience is required

+ Previous HITRUST experience is preferred

+ Project management skills will be needed

Travel

25% to 30% may be required

Professional Certification

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred

Education

A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or equivalent, is required.
