The Waste Management & Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Zero Team in their company-wide sustainability goals, and for implementing waste reduction practices within the Base Operations Team. Become knowledgeable on the logistics of moving waste or recycling within our base areas and on-mountain, and assist departments in best practices and new strategies. Become an integral part of the Base Area Operations Team as you work on various projects throughout the summer within this department specifically, as well as wider-lens projects for Park City Resort and Vail Resorts. **Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

+ Facilitate new ideas for waste reduction including recycling, reuse, and composting.

+ Work with the custodial team lead to develop a project to be completed this summer, based around recycling and waste reduction.

+ Assist in coordinating efforts across departments to achieve uniformity across the resort.

+ Assisting departments with trash removal in all base areas.

+ Maintaining guest facing recycling receptacles.

+ Assist with the compost program.

+ Support contract management for third party housekeeping companies.

+ Perform other tasks as assigned.


+ Ability to maintain organized and prioritize tasks in on-going projects.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Microsoft Office Suite skills and experience.

+ Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.

+ Ability to work in various weather conditions, and to prepare well for variable weather conditions within any given work day.

+ Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays for special events as required.
